It would have prevented insurance companies from eliminating people with pre-existing conditions from getting insurance. It also would have eliminated the Donut hole in the Drug Insurance Program. I have a friend who reached the Donut hole last August and was paying 800.00 a month for her drugs through the end of the year. She starts out fresh now..but the Doctor has added 2 more pills..so she may not make it to August this year.. She is one of the lucky ones because she can afford the medications..but most Seniors are on fixed incomes and just have to go without their meds. Health care is dead.
