Eyes On Haiti

This isn’t a very long posting tonight, but I just wanted to share that my thoughts are on the millions of earthquake victims in Haiti as well as their friends and relatives living abroad hoping that their loved ones are okay.  I know times are tough here in the States, but we are very fortunate not to be in the desperate situation that our hemispherical neighbors are in right now.  If you are considering the possibility of making a donation, MSNBC has set up a list of charitable organizations.  There are a lot of scams that are already hitting the net, so be aware of the sickos who will take advantage of horrible situations like this in order to make a quick buck.

  1. Thanks for posting this!

  2. Thanks D…..makes my moving story seem so trivial! Oprah has a way to give on her site too that is probably safe.

  3. It has been heartbreaking to see the images- brings me back to past tragedies; LA riots, Oklahoma City, September 11, Hurricane Katrina and the Tsunami in Thailand. So painful. We donated to the red cross by texting HAITI to 90999.
