Did anyone see Barbara Walter’s Special about the 10 most fascinating people of the year? I still don’t understand why she picked Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin. Glenn Beck scares me because someone actually gave him a podium to speak on a daily basis and Sarah Palin is as interesting as a pimple on my ass. No, I don’t have a pimple on my ass, but if I did, it would be as interesting as Sarah Palin.
Really though, I think what annoys me about Glenn Beck is that the man clearly has a case of ”Mommy Issues” and is filling some deep need to be heard by the masses. The unfortunate part is that the masses actually listen to him… hence that 9/11 tea-bagging business in D.C.
Then we have Sarah Palin, whose first introduction to her book was when she was reading it for the audio version. I wonder if they had someone in the studio to help her in sounding out the words. I’ve heard that some folks have been pissed because they have purchased Going Rouge: An American Nightmare instead of Going Rogue: An American Life. Okay, now if you can’t tell the difference between “rouge” and “rogue” I believe you have bigger problems… like learning how to spell. But what do I know? Oh wait I know how to spell.

Ick is right!
Just popped in to say Hi. I haven’t been around in forever, I am so tired and so stressed out and I just want to sleep for a week! AND I haven’t had contractor/dishwasher issues. I have accumulated 10 credit hours so far since August and am 3/5 finished with my take home final for the last 3. I obviously have mental issues.
I am hoping for some posts during the holidays. I hope you are a learning a lot in your class and are not too stressed.
I’m against giving either of them a forum for anything, so not in agreement with B on this one! They are both shallow idiots…..
Have you noticed Margaret and Helen are ‘critiquing’ the book? Equally as entertaining as the Coulter book review…….just glad it’s her and not me!!!!!!
I think Barbara was wrong too, but then I have friends who say they thought it was good for everyone to see how ignorant they are.
I think she should have balanced the show with Jon Stewart .
Maybe next year..I wish I had her private e-mail address
