Palin on Oprah: Hell Has Frozen Over

Well we sure do have an interesting week ahead, don’t we? President Obama is in Asia, Sarah Palin will be on Oprah, and we’re all basking in the glow of the Lou Dobbs departure from CNN, keeping his crazy rhetoric on the airwaves where it belongs! Well, that is until Fox News somehow hires him.  Let’s face it they took the crybaby and his chalkboard, didn’t they?  Not to mention, with the pull out of sponsors, they’ve still kept him on the air.

Much like Anne Coulter, I will not be purchasing the book that has Sarah Palin listed as the author, although she had someone else write most of the book.  I’m afraid that if I were to even touch it, my I.Q. would drop at least 20 points.  That’s just a chance I’m not willing to take.  Besides, I have a ton of books that I actually want to read that are waiting for the end of this semester so that I can get to them. (Yep, Ted Kennedy’s book is one of them.)

As for President Obama’s visit to Asia, I hope he can open up the export of those few goods that are still made in this country to China, not only in an effort to help keep the market competitive, but to also allow us to keep our jobs. Granted, many American companies now manufacture their goods in China, but that’s neither here nor there. (Apple, Microsoft, Raleigh, Dell…) He also needs to put more pressure on China to help influence Iran to cease nuclear development. However, it must all be done with a light touch since China has bankrolled our government to the tune of 800 billion dollars.  Chump change, I know.  You know what might possibly be a good idea? Is if our large, American companies gave up on their tax shelters and brought the jobs back to the States…. just a thought.

Enjoy your week and if I have a chance to post again, great. If not, blame it on my bonding session with Whitman.

  1. Did you see that AP fact-checking story about all of the b.s. in Palin’s book? I sent it to a friend who replied that he would be surprised if any of her fans could read ;)

  2. I can’t believe she is getting all these interviews. Not interesting! Let her retire to Montana or wherever they’ll take her in!

  3. I was surprised that Oprah had her on her program….she did a good interview, but I don’t think she should have given Palin’s book any media attention!!!!!! I”m a little pissed about that…….

  4. At my oldest G sons birthday party, his younger twin bros’ asked if I had read Sarah Palins book yet?
When I told them “If it was the only book in the library I wouldn;t read it.”
Threy looked at each other in that secret language they have and smiled.
I guess I know what will be under my Xmas tree.
Any suggestions for what to do with it???
