Remember the Veterans

Today is Veterans Day.  This is a day to remember and recognize those who have and who continue to serve our nation.  After the attacks that took place at Fort Hood, we have another example of how important our soldiers, airmen and sailors are to our country. Everyone who dons the uniform plays a part in ensuring that our nation as well as our interests are kept safe.  So, when one is injured, we are injured.  When one loses his/her life home or abroad, we feel the pain as well.  The twelve soldiers and one civilian who died last week at the hands of a fellow soldier has touched this nation.  So as you keep the active and former members of the military in your thoughts, please take a moment to think about those who were preparing, or helping to prepare, our soldiers deploy. To all of you veterans, thank you for your service to this country.  I appreciate it.
