This is another reason why I like Sen. Olympia Snowe. Thanks to her and 13 other Senate Finance Committee members, the Baucus Health Care Bill is on its way to becoming real legislation that will insure millions of Americans! Granted, it isn’t perfect, but it’s a start!
As a reminder, here’s your refresher as to how a bill becomes a law. Yes, I will use any excuse for some Schoolhouse Rock action!

I totally forgot about that Bill! (The cartoon, I mean.) We’ll see. It doesn’t got nearly as far as it should, but I’m surprised anything has come this far at all, seeing how much money the insurance industry is spending to fight it.
…Oh I hope and pray that I will, but today I am still
just a bill!

Meanwhile, our Governor has axed the General Assistance bill in Minnesota and soon thousands of single adults jobless and homeless, will be without any type of health care.
I don’t see the Baucus bill helping any of them.
It needs some tweeking before I can get on board.
