Ever since Rep. Joe Wilson made an ass of himself in front of the President, Congress, and the rest of the nation, his name has been mentioned at least once in the news on a daily basis. Rep. Wilson’s jackass move has even been tied to Kanye West’s outburst at the MTV Music Video Awards, as well as the lovely temper tantrum that Serena Williams had on the tennis court. For the record, I hope that woman never comes near me. I would hate to have a green fuzzy ball shoved down my throat. Then again I’m a lesbian and am not a fan of any sort of balls going anywhere near my throat to begin with. (I just wrote what your dirty mind was thinking in the first place… so don’t even sit there shaking your head, Riot Kitty!!
)
The behavior of a congressman followed by a conceited tennis player and a super-conceited hip-hop artist within the span of a week is a completely new and interesting trifecta of its own. Again, I bet no one ever would have placed Joe Wilson in the same league as Kanye West and Serena a week ago. I sure as hell would not have.
What all three also have in common is that they have each made their apologies to those they have disrespected. Unfortunately, I think the line judge from the tennis match is probably still scared shitless. I know I probably would be.
Now, you know how I feel about Rep. Joe Wilson from my last posting. I think he’s a jackass (and a complete and total prick). However, did his action require time spent in the House of Representatives to issue a formal rebuke? Yes, he did break the rules of decorum, but I would like to think that at a time when the taxpayers’ money should be watched and spent very wisely, wasting time to give the man a formal slap on the wrist was probably not the route I would have taken.
President Obama took the high road in response to Rep. Wilson’s outburst and subsequent apology saying that we all make mistakes. I think we should have left it at that and moved on, which is what I believe Taylor Swift is trying to do after she received her apology from Kanye, and what the poor line judge is trying to do after Serena issued her apology as well.
Seriously, there are bigger fish to fry up on the Hill. If anyone from Congress needs a little guidance as to what those important measures might be, I’ll be happy to fill them in. Can we move on now?

Amen to movin’ on. If I watch any TV news, I feel like I am in the movie _Groundhog Day_. Same Shit, Same Day.
It’s like having a bad dream and you can’t wake up. All of a sudden people are so concerned about manners, as if this is some recent phenomenon that has occurred. I think people have been getting ruder and ruder the older I get (38 at the moment). “Plays well with others” is as archaic as the telegraph.
As for balls near my throat, ummm… I’m not going to touch that one except to say it plays nicely into the whole teabagging movement that is underwhelming the country right now.
Hahahaha! You so read my mind.
Boy you really nailed Kitty…:D
I agree with you totally, they should have taken Obama’s lead and moved on.
As for Kanye, he was acting like a Big Turd long before anyone knew who Wilson was.
Serena? Does anyone remember how Billy Jean use to lose her cool..I think it goes with the sport..
I have taken a break from news this week, yet still I could not escape these stories!
