My first thought when it came out that he’d been in Argentina rather than hiking was “And his mistress’s name is what?”

No surprise, then, during the press conference.

There’s a bunch of whiny “commentators” out there who complain about how badly the press and the public come down on these Repubs for their wrongdoings. It’s not so much the wrongdoing that’s getting pointed out repeatedly, it’s the hypocrisy. When you spend your time shaming others for the same things you’re doing, you deserve to be publicly labeled a hypocrite and taken down a peg.

Frankly, I’d like to hear more apologies for their hypocrisy rather than their affairs.

I do think the SC government should impeach this scumbag. Not for screwing. Who gives a crap where and with whom? That is between him, his wife, his mistress and his mistress’ husband (better get a BIG bed!), but because he left the state with no leadership for FIVE days. There could have been floods or tornadoes or a hurricane in that length of time and who would have handled such an emergency?

You guys crack me up…in a good way! We sure have had a bunch of ministers and holier-than thou repubs falling off the God wagon lately, haven’t we? God luv um…as Mari said, let um fall!! As GIgi said…let the people judge.
I loved that Rachel Maddow tossed out a little tongue in cheek dig tonight about ‘monogamous’ gay relationships….so priceless! Whenever one of these christianist sleezebags does something like this, I always think of my gay friends who have been together and committed for 45 years, and it makes me smile!

Seriously, it’s the argument I make in favor of marriage equality all the time: “Straight people are just doing SUCH a good job of it!”

I mean, my biological mother is on husband #6. And I have friends who have been partners for longer than I’ve been alive! HELLOOOOOOOOO!

On the bright side, as I told my boss today, if enough of these GOP fuckers get caught committing adultery or are forced out of the closet, there eventually won’t be any Republicans. GRIN.
