David Axelrod is Not a Fan of One Tea Party

David Axelrod, who is one of President Obama’s top advisors, was on ‘Face the Nation’ this morning and discussed the stupid anti-tax tea parties that took place last Wednesday.  Apparently, he’s not a fan. Who could blame him? As he stated in the morning show, President Obama did cut 95 percent of the taxes in this country.  However, I guess it’s that darn 5 percent, which doesn’t affect most of us, that got some ignorant idiots to come up with the tea party idea.

Don’t worry if you missed out on all the tea party coverage.  Jon Stewart did a lovely recap of it on his show last week, which me being the wonderful person that I am, have made it easily accessible for you.

Of course, the tea parties that took place here were crap in comparison to the real tea party that took place up in Boston.  In fact, John Oliver from the Daily Show did filed this report in which he compares the two tea parties and of course, the original was so much better! (and actually had a real fucking point!!!)

I think what ticked me off the most about the fucking tea parties were the fact that during the revolution, we were protesting not only the tyranny of England, but taxation without representation.  All states in the Union have representation, and, again, 95 percent of our taxes were reduced by President Obama.  Now, for those griping about not agreeing with what’s going on with their tax dollars, you should write your representatives and let them know how you feel.  Walking around with fucking tea bags on your head isn’t going to do much other than make quite a few of us laugh at your complete and total fucking ignorance of this country’s early beginnings.  So, after you write your congressmen, you should consider enrolling in an American History class at your local Community College. Just a thought.

  1. Am I the only one laughing when these right-wing idiots say they’re going out “tea bagging?” :)

  2. Nope. In fact Rachel Maddow did a thing on “tea bagging” back on the 9th, I believe. I was rolling on the floor with laughter!

  3. Rachel had me rolling as well…thought the whole thing was so stupid, because it was based on a false assumption…. no one seems to listen anymore to what is being said…you say oranges, and they are all saying apples the next day, like it’s the truth……..idiots!

  4. The morons at these tea parties are the ones who fell asleep during history class. (I won’t even mention Fox News!)

Jon Stewart is my favorite person in the world. And John Oliver’s climbing up there, too!

  5. Okay, four things:
yes, you are wonderful D, thanks for posting the videos, I missed ‘em all! (Houseguest last week + the sinus thing)

How do you spell sheeple? I love this word.

    John Oliver= kills me.

As my dad said of the protesters, are their parents on medicare or social security? If they are for the war, won’t they pay for it? etc., etc…

  6. Great one! Gotta love those tea bags!
