Why talk about pirate attacks, the economy, or that new two-wheeled electric car thing when I can get down to business with something more breaking: The Obama’s puppy has arrived!!! According a Washington Post article, the official unveiling of the 6 month-old Portuguese water dog was supposed to take place on Tuesday with an exclusive through the Washington Post. However, the story got leaked and so here we are.
The Obama girls named the puppy, Bo.

Bo was not found in a shelter. Instead he was a gift to the Obamas from Sen. Kennedy, who has a few Portuguese water dogs himself. All I know is, that is one lucky dog! He’ll have plenty of room to roam on the grounds of the White House, not to mention he’ll get quite a bit of attention by, not only the family, but the White House staff as well.

Just saw my first one of these dogs recently…they are very handsome as grownups, but the puppy is just too damn cute for words!!
I had Lola at the dog park about a week before the announcement was made and there was an adult one out there. Very sweet, very well behaved. But there was another guy out there, loud, obnoxious, redneck who was VERY loud on the fact that HE had never heard of a portugese water dog! I keep hoping he’ll show up again so I can find out if he has heard of one now.
Of course by his demeanor I get the impression he would have to say something rude about my President, so maybe it is for the best if I never see him again!
