I came across an article about how the EPA is delaying mountaintop mining permits to first see what the impact the coal mining would be on streams and wetlands thanks in part to the Clean Water Act. Of course this means that mining companies aren’t too pleased, but frankly, they can suck it.
I have a huge problem with burning coal to provide energy, as there is no such thing as clean coal. You’d think that by now we’d have a better system…. oh wait, we do…. it’s called green technology such as harnessing the wind (thanks to Mr. Pickens) and the sun.
Then again, I suppose you could be someone who believes everything in this video:
As a side note, I’m staying away from discussing AIG since the company is mentioned in the news on a daily basis and many blogs are already covering it. I know I haven’t been posting on regular intervals as of late, so when I do write a posting, I’d like to discuss something different instead.

I love the video, the burning devil sun even made me feel warm for a second as it was snowing here, and I love it when scientists have giant brains…. that’s how I know I’m not a scientist. And that piece of coal has obviously been smoking…
