I will never be able to match my grandfather's tomatoes. I used to go out to his garden with a shaker of salt. Mmmm...

I hope I can grow some this year. I ate asparagus and cantaloupe today, they tasted so fresh, new and springy after the same-old winter fare. Can't wait for April, we always eat a lot of strawberries starting around easter.

Great idea to use some of that vast lawn for something useful...go figure! People with a brain!
I personally am expanding my garden space this year, as many people are...I just love watching food grow!!!!! makes sense and is good for the soul! I live on the Central coast in Calif, so we are used to seeing things grow wherever we go...lots of artichokes, strawberries, lettuce, chard, brussel sprouts, etc. Can't wait to get started on MY garden!
