If that’s the case, the Republicans need to keep brainstorming because Bobby Jindal is not the answer. Oh, and as a note to Gov. Jindal: Going by the name “Bobby” does not mean that America is going to think about Bobby Kennedy, smile, and be won over by you.
So, did any of you see Gov. Jindal’s response? Frankly I had to watch it over again because I felt like he was speaking to me as if I were only five years old and had no idea about our world and adult things like politics and the operation of the government. I also didn’t appreciate his little history lesson about how far we have come from slavery to having a black President. After all, I think all of us had clued into the significance of Barack Obama being in the White House already…. many of us realized how amazing it was back in November. But I digress.
Did anyone else get worried about your eyes rolling out of your head when Gov. Jindel spoke about his dad making payments to pay for his birth? I mean, what fucking relevance did it have to the GOP response? None. My ass has more relevance to the state of our economy than his little family story.
Anyway, I really thought that when he started talking about… what he was on television to discuss in the first place… the actual response, he’d drop the condescending kindergarten teacher tones….BUT HE DIDN’T!!!!! Also, what the hell was going on with his mouth? It was as if he was really the Joker with flesh skin-color makeup on trying his best to hide a shit-eating grin that kept popping up on his face!! OMG, it was too much!!! I mean, come on, I would have taken the GOP response a bit more seriously if it had been presented by Pinky and the Brain (anyone remember that cartoon? That was some great stuff.).
I figured, because I actually cannot stop laughing every time I watch it, that the least I could do is post Bobby Jindal’s response on here.

Thanks for posting this video. I skipped out on his response. I don’t usually watch the minority party response to these things. He sounded more like he was making an introduction to the country in preparation for 2012 than actually responding to the President’s speech.
He did sound like a kindergarten teacher in his sing-song cadence and repetitive use of “Americans can do anything” and its variations.
His facial expressions do remind me of Kermit the Frog – I think they must have told him to keep smiling!
Personally, I don’t see how any person of color can get on board with the GOP because by and large they’re a bunch of racist motherfuckers. I say this as a person of color, btw.

I could not watch the entire thing. Somewhere in there he had the balls to say, “We must put aside partisan politics…” I almost had a stroke. What a load of crap!!!

I was on the computer during his response, and I couldn’t even think of anything to say!!!!!!! Later, after I had time to grasp it all, I had all kinds of feelings….pissed, bewildered, amused, and above all…….glad the GOP thought he was their new guy!
Not only that, thanks to the new TV show, “Lie to Me,” we are now able to detect the complete contempt in his mouth movements.
