Okay, now this is just sickening. According to the Associated Press, 1.6 billion dollars of the bailout money is going to pay the salaries and bonuses like the use of company jets and country club memberships. The money was accepted by 600 different executives from 116 different banks.
My stance on bailing out banks and other financial institutions is about the same as the auto industry. If a business was failing to the point that they needed a handout, then the executives were clearly not doing a good enough job to deserve a bonus in the first fucking place! To read that my money that I earn and pay taxes on is going to some asshole’s country club membership is ridiculous!! Hell, I don’t even belong to a gym! Not to mention that when I fly, I’m packed in like a sardine and am over the moon when I see a bag containing three pretzels tossed in my direction by the not-so-friendly flight attendant. Yet my taxes are maintaining a style of life that some jackass is accustomed to because he can’t run his business properly?
Oh, and the Treasury has already spent $350 billion dollars of the bailout package and must go back to Congress to get approval to spend the rest of the $700 billion dollars. I suppose more executives need to hold onto their high salaries and ridiculous benefits.
Right now, many of us are trying to find ways to cut back, to try and save our money, pay our mortgages, and keep our jobs. Some families are having such hard times that they are having to decide eating and heating their homes this winter. Yet, the executives of many businesses that are near the red are still sitting pretty well. Now that’s fucking deplorable!

Here in Minnesota, our pretty faced Governor refuses to look at some new revenues to get us out of the mess we’re in.
Instead, he is cutting aid to cities, health care and higher education and human services.
and this is step one.
I had read about that. I love how people think that education can easily be cut. Then we wonder why people coming out of high school can barely write in cursive and have problems with grammar. How much longer is he in office?

I just can’t get my brain wrapped around how these people get away with this and everyone else, the PAYING everyone else, is screwed!!!!!!
