Yep, and her name is Fran Drescher. She’s thrown her hat into the mix of people that Gov. Paterson gets to choose from once Hillary Clinton is confirmed as Secretary of State.
Personally, I have no issue with Fran Drescher. Well, except her voice does bother me after awhile… sort of like Gilbert Gottfried.
She has done a lot for breast cancer awareness, as well as other women’s diseases. She’s also a straight-shooter. However, her as a Junior Senator? I’m not so sure. I had heard on the news that she believes that Capitol Hill needs a few more honest people, and that’s why she has interest in the position. Don’t get me wrong, that’s a great reason to seek the seat. However, whomever wins Gov. Paterson’s appointment to the position should have a great awareness about our Constitution, which many really don’t. The person should also be fully aware of his/her powers in the Legislative Branch, which I’m pretty sure some congressmen are oblivious to. So, for those who are seeking the position and feel that they need a bit of brushing up to do, I give you the gift of School House Rock’s Three Ringed Government. Enjoy!
And yes, this is the second time within a month that I’ve been able to pull out School House Rock.

NOOOOOOOOOOOO
Gee Duke, I wonder why….hmm… yeah that took me half a second. Of course the men wouldn’t mind her. But you’d still have to get past that voice of hers.
Nay Nay..that voice would drive me to drink…
Well, my vote’s still with Caroline Kennedy. Apparently some of the radio commentators are verbalizing their support of her as well.
