A few days ago, I wrote about Bush issuing pardons. I had mentioned one pardon that had really pissed me off, which was a farmer in Missouri who had killed three bald eagles after he put out poison-laced meat to kill off coyotes. (The coyotes died, and the eagles fed on the coyotes, which is how they died.)
Well, someone from the AP decided to interview the farmer. He did say that he’s grateful for receiving a Bush pardon. Well, he should be. Yet, he was a convicted felon who could not keep a gun. Now he can, which means that, although they might not be eagles, he can go kill other animals and mount their heads on his wall.
Oh, and before I receive comments on that one, I don’t have a problem with hunting, so long as you are doing it because you need food. If you are doing it for fun, I do take great issue with it. If you’re doing it from a helicopter, I hope you fall out.

If he was a longtime hunter, why didn’t he just shoot the coyotes? That would have made it more fair. Poison should never be an option. If he was concerned for the turkeys, shouldn’t he have contacted Fish & Wildlife or something?
I am not against hunting. I think the woods would be a lot more crowded without it. Many of my family members hunt (I couldn’t) and we absolutely appreciate the extra meat in the winter if there is enough to share. They do it for fun, really, but we all benefit. I have a lot more respect for bow hunters, it seems to give the animals a better chance.
Thats disgusting, I hate to think who else he will pardon over the next month and a half..
How the hell does he make these decisions? Ridiculous. I wonder if he still thinks a higher power is guiding him…
In medical circles that is called a hallucination or a delusion.
