I’m Just a Bill Waiting For My New Friends

According to an article I stumbled on, the Democrats on Capitol Hill are planning a rush of bills in January to be ready in just enough time for when Mr. Obama takes office.  Yep, they aren’t wasting any time, which is good… means that they’re working.  However, I hope that Mr. Obama and his staff will still take their time to review every piece of legislation that hits his desk very carefully.

On November fourth, many of us made our feelings known at the polls that we were ready for change.  This change is not only the direction of how our country is led, but the cutting of pork barreling, stiffer regulation of lobbyists are just a few changes on my list.

Since there are a few new legislators who are going to call the Capitol their new workplace, I figured I’d provide a helpful tool for those who want to get cracking on creating bills that they hope to become laws.

  2. Thanks. This has been my favorite since I was a kid. I suppose it was only natural that i became a political junkie.

  3. Can I tell you a secret D? Schoolhouse rock is still how I spew off the preamble to the Constitution…

  4. Mari- If it works, why not use it?

  5. I got an A in high school history using Schoolhouse Rock. I own the DVD and this is one of my favorites. I would like to think the newly elected won’t need it, but, hey, it can’t hurt.
